Amanda Guay has a Master’s in Public Health, Health Promotion and Education, with a focus in Minority and Women’s Health. She has worked with multiple stakeholders from governmental agencies, local officials, community organizations, health departments, Tribes and educational institutions with the goal of conducting outreach to targeted populations, as well as developing policy to achieve improved health outcomes. Ms. Guay has a decade of experience working with minority and under-served populations in public health programs focusing on women’s health, tobacco prevention, wellness, and environmental health.
Life Interests
Amanda and her family recently returned to Flagstaff after almost ten years in the northwest. She enjoys traveling, the outdoors and spending time with her family.
Community Interests/ Agencies with which you are involved
Amanda has volunteered with the Flagstaff Habitat for Humanity to set up the ReStore, the Coconino County Tobacco Use Prevention Project on efforts to pass the statewide tobacco ban, and the Northern Arizona Interfaith Council to promote universal health care coverage. |
