Benjamin Locklear, MBA, CPA, Chief Financial Officer

Benjamin Locklear serves as Chief Financial Officer for North Country HealthCare and has served in that capacity since August, 2006.

Mr. Locklear brings to the table an outstanding background in finance and accounting in the Healthcare Industry. His expertise and industry knowledge has resulted in a consistent record of managing costs and improving profitability. He came to North Country HealthCare following a successful career as a Finance Director with a business segment of UnitedHealth Group in Phoenix, AZ, where he managed the financial planning, analysis, and budgeting of a $50 million operation. In this role, Benjamin directed the financial and accounting staff and implemented process improvements to ensure financial, accounting and regulatory controls. Previously, Mr. Locklear worked as Finance Manager for Schaller Anderson Healthcare and as a Financial Analyst for Catholic Healthcare West, both in Phoenix, AZ.

Mr. Locklear received his MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and his BS in Accounting from the University of North Carolina – Pembroke. He is a licensed CPA in Arizona. Mr. Locklear has previously served as Vice-President of Membership in a local chapter of Toastmasters and is also an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Associations (HFMA) as well as the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).
