North Country HealthCare to Raise Funds for Family of Crash Victim
A firefighter from Montana was one of the victims of the tragic helicopter collision in Flagstaff on Sunday, June 29, 2008. Michael MacDonald, age 26, had been treated at the Grand Canyon Clinic that afternoon. During his brief stay he brightened the lives of the staff with his wit and humor. He was being transported to Flagstaff Medical Center when he lost his life.
Mr. MacDonald was a member of the Chief Mountain Hot Shots, an elite firefighting crew based on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Browning Montana. His crew had been assigned to the Walla Valley Fire on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.
The North Country staff and family offer our condolences to Michael MacDonald’s family, friends and loved ones. We would like to honor the memory of Michael by raising funds to support his family and unborn child.
