Primary Care Services
North Country serves as the “medical home” for some 30,000 patients across Northern Arizona providing approximately 75,000 patient visits in 2007.
North Country is a freestanding delivery model through which comprehensive, preventive primary care, dental care, outreach programs, and training/education services are offered across the life cycle of all people's of Northern Arizona including:
- Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
- Physical/sports exams to determine risk and provide early detection and treatment of conditions.
- Well child visits and immunizations (including EPSDT examinations)
- Reproductive health, prenatal, and pediatric care services.
- Integrative medicine (acupuncture, acupressure and herbal remedies).
- Dental services including preventive and restorative care ( adult and pediatric).
- Mental health services through an integrated service model.
- Pharmacy services are available on site.
- On-site radiology services and contracted laboratory services.
- Twenty–four hour call and hospital coverage.
- Transportation support
Outreach Programs/Services
Well Woman HealthCheck Program, Health Start Program, Prenatal & Pediatric Care, Maternal Child Health Program, Diabetes Education & Self-Management Program, HIV/AIDS Program, NACASA and RESEP- Radiation Exposure Screening & Education Program ("Downwinders").
Health Professional Education/Support Services
Through the Northern Arizona Area Health Education Center (NAHEC), which is part of North Country, the Center offers a myriad of health professional students training opportunities, youth health career education and continuing education/continuing medical education credits.
